Muskoka Veg Fest 2018
Wow ! What an incredible first event !
Our First Annual event was met with enthusiasm and an outstanding response.
We were blown away by the support of our friends and community involved in making this happen for Muskoka.
THANK YOU to everyone who took part from the base of conception, sponsored, spoke, volunteered, donated, exhibited and more.
The day began with sun then a little unexpected rain, but that didn't hold the crowds back - around 5000 people passed through the festival grounds! The setting had a peaceful vibe, river side at River Mill Park, with Huntsville's downtown core one street away and restaurant balconies overlooking the event. Great energy, a relaxed atmosphere and amazing people all around. Most vendors sold out of food halfway through the event and had to re-stock for the afternoon. The first few hundred Guests came early and were presented a free swag bag with goodies inside - complete with commemorative Muskoka Veg Fest 2018 collector pin. People enjoyed great food, shopped, and listened to the incredible speakers on lineup. We couldn't have asked for a better day!
The day was set with an early morning Run with Josh LaJaunie and Yoga Flow class with Mary-Ellen Landry of SLS Health Coaching. Beautiful music on Violin by the talented Gwen Dunlop on stage carried throughout the morning.
We had an incredible lineup of speakers ranging from nutrition, health science and animal welfare. Topped off with live music to add to the true festival feel.
Our incredible group of Volunteers made the day happen and were a huge help to all the Exhibitors and guests!
Amy Longard of Amy Longard Nutrition provided a fun Breakfast food demo for festival attendees including samplings!
Very informative and well received with a huge lineup for goodies at the end!
Josh Lajaunie joined us from Louisiana, USA. He gave an inspiring talk to the crowd about his journey from being a 410lb man to now, a plant-based marathon runner and inspirational speaker. Check out Josh's website to follow him on his journey in helping to change the world www.joshlajauinie.com
